About Us

Victors Value Investments (VVI) is an undergraduate investment club at the University of Michigan, with over $15,000 in assets under management. We manage a highly concentrated, long-only portfolio. Our mission is to bring investing experience to our members, while promoting education, performance, and industry exposure to students of all levels and backgrounds. Members learn not only how to analyze market sectors and securities, but also how to present their ideas to others.

From the beginning, new members are grouped with older members to work on projects. Our club meets weekly to hear group investment pitches, followed by an open Q&A session. Through this process, we obtain a highly-concentrated portfolio that we feel confident in holding for the long run.

Our investments are focused in Midwestern equities. Michigan and the greater Upper Midwest region provide investors with a rich landscape of outstanding companies that we are better positioned to understand through our geography.

One of VVI’s core differentiators is its investment philosophy. Value investing focuses on observing and purchasing businesses that are fundamentally undervalued instead of seeking high growth, risky investments. This approach ensures a high margin of safety and generous, stable returns.
